The main business of Jackson & Jackson is in its consultancy work with deaf and disabled organisations. This work is varied and covers areas such as:
- Policy Development
- Strategic Planning
- Fundraising
- Reviews
- Forward Planning
- Project Management
- Research Projects
- Charity registration
- Health and Social Service audits
Starting in 1996, clients have included local and national organisations for Deaf and disabled people, as well as government and local authority departments. Some projects have been short-term, some long term.
Local organisations have included Brent Deaf People’s Group, Manchester Deaf Centre, Vale Royal Deaf Centre, London Ethnic Minorities Deaf Association; national organisations have included the British Deaf Association and the British Deaf Sports Council.
Central and local authority departments the Consultancy has worked with include DFEE as well as a number of social services departments and NHS Trusts.
Whilst fundraising has been a major part of the consultancy’s work, with over £2 million being raised for various organisations since 1996, research projects such as the DFEE’s Drugs & the Deaf project and Alban Neve Deaf Association’s deaf community “What’s Our Future?” project have also been part of an important input from the consultancy.
Our experience of deaf-related service provision, plus health and care issues, is wide-ranging. Some of our staff are qualified in nursing and care management, and this enables an input to be made in relation to health or care research projects and audits.
